Sandy Ryan is the chief nurse practitioner officer and clinical advocate for Take Care Health Systems, Consumer Solutions Group (CSG). In this role, Ryan’s efforts are focused on legislative issues that prevent access to care while overseeing clinical nursing governance for the organization. Sandy also provides strategic leadership in university relationships and colleague value proposition while advocating for nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Ryan is one of six founding officers of Take Care Health Systems and previously led operational growth from start up to 360 clinics in select Walgreens stores in 19 states from 2005-2012.
Ryan is a founding board member of the Convenient Care Association (CCA). As the first Chief NP Officer in the industry, she has been instrumental in the development of clinical quality and safety standards for all convenient care operators. She has been recognized for her role in NP leadership as the recipient of the ANCC Nancy Sharp Cutting Edge award and the CARE AWARD for her contributions to NP practice in the Convenient Care industry. She has more than 25 years of healthcare and leadership experience and is a highly decorated retired Air Force Officer. Ryan earned a B.S.N. in Nursing from Niagara University, and an M.S.N in Maternal Child Nursing from Arizona State University. She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, a Fellow of the College of Physicians Philadelphia and a Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Fellow.
